# I need to write a 1,000-word blog post for my English homework, and it can't sound like AI.

Bring the brief, your topic and two or three real details from your own life. HidenGPT outlines the post, drafts it around your details (in your voice, if you add a writing sample), then a red pen cuts stock AI phrases and flat rhythm. You get a draft to revise, with [source] placeholders instead of made-up statistics.

## How to do it in HidenGPT

- 01 Paste your teacher's brief, then write the topic, who the post is for and two or three details only you would know.
- 02 Pick Blog post under “Use it for”, set the article type to Opinion / experience, then under Length pick Enter a word count and type 1000.
- 03 In More details, switch off the FAQ section and meta tags unless your teacher asked for them.
- 04 If you're on a plan, pick a voice built from your own essays or posts so the draft follows your sentence length and word choice.
- 05 Read the outline, then the post, check the red pen notes and the naturalness score, and ask for changes such as “trim it to 1,000 words” or “more about my dad”.

## How a 1,000-word class blog post is usually built

Teachers who set a blog post usually want the habits of the form: a title that says what the post is about, an opening that starts with the point instead of announcing it, a few sections under subheadings and an ending that leaves the reader with something to think about or do.

At 1,000 words that works out to roughly a 100-word opening, three or four sections of 200-250 words each and a short close of 80-100 words. A reader gets through it in about 4-5 minutes.

Blog posts can be personal: first person, short paragraphs and a casual aside are normal, but your teacher will still mark spelling and grammar. Check the brief for a required audience, sources or word range.

## What makes a post read like AI wrote it

Readers notice the same few things: an opening that announces the topic, stock phrases such as “in today's fast-paced world” or “it's important to note”, paragraphs that are all the same length, sentences that all have the same rhythm and a last paragraph that repeats the post in smaller words.

The bigger tell is what's missing. Generated text stays general. It talks about “many people” and “various benefits” because it doesn't know your town, your class or your weekend. Two or three real details (a name, a place, a number you know is true) do more for a post than any amount of rewording.

So the request matters more than the settings: give the draft something only you could know. Then read it aloud and change every sentence you wouldn't say.

## Getting to 1,000 words

Under Length, pick Enter a word count and type 1000; the Blog format takes any target from 50 to 4,000 words and plans the post to it. The presets (about 700, 1,300 or 2,200 words) are there if your brief is loose. If the draft lands long or short, ask for a trim or more on one section.

If your teacher wants an essay rather than a post with subheadings, the Essay format also takes an exact target between 150 and 4,000 words and warns you when the draft is more than 15% off. Pick it only if the brief allows that form.

## Not the right tool if

- A class that bans AI for this assignment. There, use HidenGPT for an outline or feedback on a draft you wrote, not for the text you hand in, and disclose AI help wherever your school asks for it.
- A post that needs sources you haven't found. It doesn't look them up; figures it can't back up become [source] placeholders for you to fill or cut.

## Other ways to do it

Your school's writing center

Free feedback from a person on a draft you wrote yourself. Slower, and the right choice when AI isn't allowed.

ChatGPT or another chatbot

Quick drafts, but expect to rewrite them to sound like you and to check any facts they add.

Grammarly or a spell checker

Good for grammar and spelling fixes on a post you wrote yourself.

## Questions

### How long is a 1000 word blog post?

About 2 pages single-spaced or 4 double-spaced at 12 pt, and roughly 4-5 minutes to read. Online it usually runs to four or five short sections under subheadings.

### How do I make a blog post not sound like AI?

Give it details only you know, then cut the stock phrases. A name, a place or something that happened to you does more than rewording; HidenGPT's red pen removes phrases like “delve” and fixes flat rhythm, and you add the rest when you revise.

### Will my teacher be able to tell I used AI?

Nobody can promise either way, and HidenGPT makes no promises about AI detectors. Detectors are unreliable in both directions and flag human writing too. What you control is the writing: your details, your opinions and your own edits.

### Can I set the blog post to exactly 1,000 words?

Yes. Under Length, pick Enter a word count and type 1000, and the post is planned to that number. If it lands a little long or short, ask for a trim or more on one section.

### Should a blog post for school be in first person?

Usually yes, unless the brief says otherwise. Blog posts are personal by nature, so “I” and your own experience are expected; keep the grammar correct even when the tone is casual.

### Can I try it without paying?

Yes. You can try 2 drafts a day on the homepage without an account. Saving drafts and writing in your own voice need a plan; Pro is $3 for the first month.
