# LinkedIn Post Generator That Writes in Your Own Voice

> Turn what happened at work into a LinkedIn post with a real hook and short paragraphs, in a voice built from posts and emails you wrote yourself.

# I want LinkedIn posts that sound like me, not like a LinkedIn post generator.

Bring what happened, in rough notes, and a few things you've written yourself. HidenGPT's LinkedIn format turns the notes into a post with a hook in the first lines, short paragraphs and a check against LinkedIn's 3,000-character limit. A voice built from your own posts or emails keeps your tone, sentence length and formatting habits.

Already wrote the post? Paste it into the free AI cliché checker: it marks stock phrases like “thrilled to announce”, flat rhythm and repeated openers, gives a 0-100 naturalness score and runs in your browser with no sign-up. It isn't an AI detector. [Does my writing sound like AI?](https://hidengpt.com/tools/ai-cliche-checker)

## How to do it in HidenGPT

- 01 Write what happened in the main box the way you'd tell a colleague: the moment, one number or detail, and what you took from it.
- 02 Pick LinkedIn post under “Use it for”, then set the post type, the tone and the length; Short is 400-700 characters and Medium 900-1,400.
- 03 If you're on a plan, build a voice from 2-5 posts or messages you wrote yourself and pick it under Voice.
- 04 Read the first line on its own, and if it doesn't make you want the second, tap Better hook or pick a hook style in More details.
- 05 Before you post, cut any line you wouldn't say out loud and check that every number and name is yours.

## Why generated LinkedIn posts all sound the same

Most generated posts are assembled from the same parts: an opener like “I'm thrilled to announce” or “In today's fast-paced world”, one-line paragraphs that each carry a slogan, a lesson spelled out three times, a pile of hashtags and a closing question that could follow any post. Readers have seen that shape so many times that it's enough to make a manager ask whether ChatGPT wrote your post.

What's missing is you. LinkedIn's own creator guide lists four parts of a good post: an engaging hook at the beginning, a concise message, a personal perspective, story or unique take, and a question that starts a conversation. A generator can supply the hook and the question. The perspective has to come from something that happened to you: the meeting, the number, the mistake, what you'd change next time. The same guide says relatability matters far more than perfection, which is a fair test for any draft.

## What a voice picks up from your writing

A voice is a style profile HidenGPT builds from things you wrote yourself. Under Voices, paste 2-5 pieces separated by a blank line, at least 300 characters in all. It records your tone, how long your sentences run, the words you use and the ones you never do, and your formatting habits: paragraph length, line breaks, emoji, lists and punctuation. It also keeps a few short excerpts as examples.

What you paste decides what you get. Posts you wrote before you used any AI tool work well, and so do a long message to your team or an email you were happy with. Leave out anything a tool or a colleague wrote for you, or the voice learns their habits instead of yours. Name it something like “My LinkedIn voice”, click Use by default, and the composer picks it for every draft. Voices need a plan: Pro saves up to 5 and Pro Max up to 20.

## What the LinkedIn format does with your notes

The writer puts the hook in the first one or two lines and warns you if the first line runs past 210 characters, roughly what shows before “see more”. Paragraphs stay at one to three lines with a blank line between them, there's no Markdown, and bullets start with → or •. Every draft is checked against the 3,000-character limit that LinkedIn Help gives for posts, and a draft that runs over gets a repair pass.

You choose the post type (Personal story / lesson, Tips / know-how, Win / announcement, Opinion / start a debate and a few more), the tone and the length: Short is 400-700 characters, Medium 900-1,400 and Long 1,800-2,600. Hashtags (3-5, at the very end) and End with a question are on by default and can be switched off; More details sets the hook style and how many emoji. A Number / result hook only uses numbers you gave it, links stay out of the body with “(Link in the first comment)” at the end, and a light red pen pass cuts stock phrases and shows a naturalness score before and after.

## Not the right tool if

- Posts about things that didn't happen. The writer works from your notes, and a number hook uses only numbers you gave it.
- Publishing or scheduling. HidenGPT writes the text; you paste it into LinkedIn and post it yourself.
- Carousels, images or video. The LinkedIn format writes the text of a post only.

## Other ways to do it

Writing it yourself from a running list of moments

Free, and the surest way to sound like you. Note down things that happen at work as they happen and you'll rarely start from a blank page.

ChatGPT or another chatbot, with your old posts pasted in as examples

Fine for a one-off post; expect to cut stock openers and extra hashtags before you publish.

A human LinkedIn ghostwriter

Interviews you and learns how you talk. Worth it if you post often and can pay for a person's time.

## Questions

### How do I make AI LinkedIn posts sound like me?

Start from your own material and your own writing. Give it the specific moment, number or opinion behind the post, use a voice built from posts or messages you wrote, then read the draft aloud and cut every line you wouldn't say to a colleague.

### How do I train AI to write like me?

Give it samples of your own writing. In HidenGPT that's a voice: paste 2-5 things you wrote, at least 300 characters in all, and it records your tone, sentence length, word choice and formatting habits. Use your own posts or emails, not drafts a tool wrote for you.

### How long should a LinkedIn post be?

As long as the story needs, up to LinkedIn's limit of 3,000 characters. HidenGPT's Short setting is 400-700 characters, Medium 900-1,400 and Long 1,800-2,600, and a draft over 3,000 gets a repair pass.

### How do I write a LinkedIn post about a new job?

Lead with the news and one real detail: the role, why you said yes, what you'll miss or what you have to learn. Pick Win / announcement as the post type; the LinkedIn format is built not to open with “I'm thrilled to announce”, and the red pen flags it if it slips in.

### How often should I post on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn's creator guide suggests 2-5 posts a week and says consistency helps you build a community. If that's more than you have material for, post less often and keep each post specific.

### Can LinkedIn detect AI-generated posts?

Nobody outside LinkedIn can tell you, and HidenGPT makes no promises about that or about any AI detector. The likelier problem is people: readers notice stock openers like “I'm thrilled to announce” and posts with no detail only you could know, so fix those first.

### Can I try it for free?

Yes. You can try 2 drafts a day on the homepage without an account. Your own voice needs a plan: Pro is $3 for the first month and comes with 100 credits a month, and a LinkedIn post uses about 2.
