General

What is AI Ghostwriter?

AI Ghostwriter is an AI writing app that turns a rough idea into a draft in your voice. One engine runs 17 formats, from LinkedIn posts and cold emails to essays, book chapters and wedding toasts, and each format follows its platform's rules. A red pen pass then cuts the phrases that make AI writing easy to spot.

How is it different from a general chatbot like ChatGPT?

A chatbot will talk about anything; AI Ghostwriter only writes, and each format brings its own rulebook. It counts characters and fixes what runs over (280 for an X post, 30 for a Google Ads headline), outlines long pieces before drafting, writes in a voice built from your own samples and shows a naturalness score before and after the red pen.

What does the red pen do?

The red pen is an editing pass that runs after the draft. It looks for stock phrases, a flat sentence rhythm, piles of em dashes and sentences that all start the same way, then fixes them: Light touches only the problem sentences, Strong rewrites more freely, and Off skips the pass. You see what it crossed out and a 0-100 naturalness score before and after.

What is a voice, and how do I create one?

A voice is a style profile built from your own writing: your tone, sentence length, the words you lean on and the ones you avoid, plus a few short excerpts. Paste at least 300 characters of your writing (2-5 pieces works best) under Voices, then pick that voice in the composer. Pro saves up to 5 voices and Pro Max up to 20.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. Type into the box on the homepage and send; visitors currently get 2 drafts a day without signing up. Trial drafts aren't saved. To keep writing, with history and your own voice, pick a plan: Pro is $3 for the first month.

Do you train AI models on my writing?

No. We don't train models on your content and we don't sell your data. Your text goes through OpenRouter to the AI model provider only to generate what you asked for, and your drafts and voices stay in your account until you delete them.

Will the red pen get my text past AI detectors?

That's not what it's for. The red pen is an editorial quality step that makes drafts read better; it isn't designed to evade AI detectors, and we make no promises about what any detector will say.

What can AI Ghostwriter write?

Seventeen formats: Anything (you describe it, it works out the type), LinkedIn posts, X posts and threads, Instagram captions, blog posts, emails and newsletters, video and podcast scripts, product descriptions, ad copy, nonfiction books, fiction, memoirs, essays and assignments, speeches, resumes and cover letters, and lyrics and poems. There's also a rewriter for text you already have.

Which languages does it write in?

Eight: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Arabic, Russian and Azerbaijani. You pick the draft language each time you write, and the interface itself is in English and Turkish.

Who owns the text it writes?

You do, as far as the law allows: you keep the rights to what you put in and own the drafts written for you, including for commercial use. Similar requests can produce similar text, and in some countries text made only by AI may not be protected by copyright, so check anything you publish.

Can I trust the facts in a draft?

Check every draft before you publish it, because AI can get things wrong. Each format is told not to invent facts, so a missing number, name or source shows up as a placeholder such as [number] instead of a guess.

How do I download my data or delete my account?

Both are in Settings. Download my data gives you a JSON file with your account, drafts and voices; Delete account removes all three for good, so download a copy first if you want one.

Plans and billing

Is there a free plan?

No. You can try 2 drafts a day on the homepage without an account; writing in the studio, with history and your own voices, needs Pro or Pro Max. New subscribers pay $3 for Pro's first month or $9 for Pro Max's.

What's the difference between Pro and Pro Max?

Credits and voices. Pro is $19 a month with 100 credits a month and 5 voices; Pro Max is $29 a month with 300 credits and 20 voices. Both write in all 17 formats with the red pen, and paying yearly is 70% off: $68.40 or $104.40 a year.

What is a credit?

About one cent of AI writing, measured from what each draft actually costs to write. A LinkedIn post uses about 2 credits and an 800-word essay 4 to 6. A plan's credits renew every month, on yearly plans too, and unused ones don't carry over.

What if I run out of credits?

Top up from the Billing page: 100 credits for $19 or 50 for $9.90. Top-up credits don't expire and are used after the month's credits. Top-ups are for subscribers.

How do I pay, and what happens after the first month?

By card through Stripe, in USD; we never see your full card number. The first-month price is for new subscribers, then the plan renews at its full price every month (or year) until you cancel. Taxes may apply depending on where you live.

Can I cancel, and will I get a refund?

Yes. Cancel any time from Billing; you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for and aren't charged again. We don't refund partial periods or used credits, but we do refund duplicate or mistaken charges, as our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains.
