Refund & Cancellation Policy

Bu metnin Türkçesi

In short

  • Plans renew automatically at their full price until you cancel, including after a discounted first month.
  • You can cancel anytime on the Billing page. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and you won't be charged again.
  • Consumers in the EU and the UK can withdraw within 14 days of buying a plan or a top-up credit pack.
  • We always refund duplicate or mistaken charges.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days.

1. Scope

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid AI Ghostwriter plans and top-up credit packs. It's part of our Terms of Service, and nothing in it limits the rights consumer law gives you.

2. Cancelling your plan

  • You can cancel anytime on the Billing page, which opens Stripe's customer portal, without giving a reason and without a fee. If you can't get to the Billing page, email support@example.com.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep your plan and its credits until then, and you won't be charged again.
  • If you started with an introductory first-month price, your plan renews at its full monthly price when the first month ends, unless you cancel before then.
  • After your plan ends, your account stays open without a plan: you can't write in the app until you subscribe again. Your history, voices and unused top-up credits stay in your account until you delete them.
  • If you delete your account, your paid plan ends too, and you won't be charged again.

3. EU and UK consumers: 14-day right of withdrawal

If you live in the EU or the UK and buy a paid plan or a top-up credit pack as a consumer (not for your business), you can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of the day you bought it, without giving a reason.

How it works for a digital service. A paid plan is a digital service that starts as soon as you pay: its credits are ready to use right away, and so are the credits in a top-up pack. At checkout, we ask you to confirm that you want the service to start right away, during the 14-day withdrawal period.

  • If you asked us to start right away and then withdraw, we'll refund what you paid, minus a proportionate amount for the service you received before you told us you were withdrawing, such as the credits you'd already used.
  • If you didn't make that request, you won't pay anything for that time, and we'll refund everything you paid.

How to withdraw. Before the 14 days are up, send us a clear statement that you're withdrawing, by email to support@example.com or by post to [Company legal name], [Street address, district/city, country]. You can use this model form, but you don't have to:

To [Company legal name], [Street address, district/city, country], support@example.com:

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following service: AI Ghostwriter (plan name or credit pack), ordered on (date).

Name: (your name). Account email: (your email address). Date: (today's date).

We'll refund you within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the payment method you used, at no cost to you.

Withdrawal doesn't affect your other rights, including your rights if the service is faulty or not as described.

4. When we give refunds

We'll refund you, fully or partly, if:

  • You withdraw in time: as described in section 3.
  • You were charged twice or by mistake: we refund the duplicate charge or the amount we overcharged.
  • You were charged after cancelling: we refund any renewal charge taken after your cancellation took effect.
  • Your plan or credits never arrived: if we took your payment but couldn't activate your plan or add your credits because of a problem on our side, we refund the full amount.
  • The service is faulty or not as described: we'll fix it. If we can't, you're entitled to a price reduction or a refund under consumer law.
  • We shut down the Service, or close your account for a reason that isn't your fault: we refund the unused part of any prepaid period.

5. When we don't give refunds

Unless the law requires otherwise:

  • We don't give partial refunds when you cancel partway through a billing period. You keep your plan and its credits until the period ends.
  • Credits have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money. Used credits aren't refundable, and neither are monthly credits that expire unused.
  • If we close your account because you broke the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy, we don't refund the rest of the period.
  • Apart from the cases in section 4 and any right of withdrawal you have, payments are non-refundable.

6. How to ask for a refund

Email support@example.com or use the contact form. To help us move quickly, include:

  • the email address on your account;
  • the date and amount of the payment (and the invoice or transaction number, if you have it);
  • a short description of the problem.

We'll review your request as soon as we can and email you the result. For requests other than withdrawals, we may ask for more information.

7. How refunds are paid

  • Refunds go back to the payment method you used, through Stripe, at no cost to you.
  • We send withdrawal refunds within 14 days of receiving your notice, and other refunds within 14 days of telling you we've approved them.
  • Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take a few more days for the money to show up in your account.

8. Payment disputes

If something looks wrong with a charge, please contact us before disputing it with your bank; we can usually fix it faster. This doesn't limit your right to contact your bank or card issuer.

9. Contact
