Does my writing sound like AI?
Paste your text and this free checker marks the phrases and patterns that make writing read as generated: stock AI phrases, a flat sentence rhythm, em-dash pile-ups and repeated openers. It gives a 0-100 naturalness score. It runs in your browser, sends nothing, and it is not an AI detector.
Runs in your browser. Nothing you paste is sent or saved.
How to use it
- 01
Paste the text you want to check, at least a few sentences.
- 02
Read the score and the list of flags; each one says what to change.
- 03
Fix the marked phrases in your own words, or send the text to the rewriter.
What it looks for

- About 80 phrases in English and Turkish that generated text leans on, such as “delve into”, “in today's fast-paced world” and “it's important to note”.

- Long sentences
- An average above 28 words a sentence.

- Repeated openers
- The same first word on more than a quarter of the sentences.
- Questions and exclamations
- Strings of rhetorical questions or exclamation marks.
Questions
Is this an AI detector?
No. It flags writing habits that make text read as generated, and it can't tell whether a person or a model wrote something. AI detectors can't do that reliably either: they flag human writing too.
Is it free?
Yes. The checker is free, needs no account and has no daily limit, because it runs entirely in your browser.
Do you see or save what I paste?
No. The analysis runs in your browser and nothing you paste is sent to our servers or stored.
What does the naturalness score mean?
It starts at 100 and loses points for each pattern found, weighted by how strongly it signals generated text. 85 and up reads as written by a person, 65-84 is mostly natural, and below 65 sounds generated.
How do I make my essay sound less like AI?
Replace the flagged phrases with plain words, mix short and long sentences, and add your own examples, opinions and details. Cut the recap at the end; say the point once.
Does it work for languages other than English?
The phrase list covers English and Turkish. Rhythm, sentence length, em dashes and repeated openers are checked in any language.
