Does HidenGPT get past AI detectors?

Updated

No promises. HidenGPT makes no claim about what any AI detector will say about a draft, and its red pen is an editing pass for readability, not a way to avoid detection. Detectors can flag human writing and miss AI text, so the only safe guide is your school's rules on AI use.

Why there are no promises

AI detectors estimate from wording alone. They can flag human writing, especially plain, formulaic essays or writing in a second language, and they can miss AI text a person has edited. Two detectors can give the same essay different scores, and scores shift when a detector is updated. No tool can honestly promise a result, so HidenGPT doesn't.

What the red pen is for

The red pen cuts stock phrases, flat rhythm, em-dash pile-ups and repeated openers so a draft reads better. Its 0-100 naturalness score counts those habits. A high score means fewer of them, not that a detector will agree, and the score can't tell who wrote a text.

Using HidenGPT within your school's rules

Rules differ by school, course and assignment, so check the instructions and your syllabus, and ask when they're silent. The Acceptable Use Policy asks you not to hand in outputs as homework, papers or exam answers where AI is banned, and not to use the red pen to get around rules that ban AI or require you to disclose it.

Where AI help is allowed, HidenGPT works best for outlines, worked answers to study from and drafts you rewrite yourself. Keep your notes and version history, and disclose your use if your class asks.

If a detector flagged your work

Keep the flagged version and your version history, then talk to your teacher with your notes and drafts. Rewording an essay to chase a lower score proves nothing and can make it read worse.

What it doesn't do

  • No result from any AI detector is promised, on any red pen setting.
  • The naturalness score is not a detection score.
  • HidenGPT can't make AI help allowed where your class bans it.

Questions

Will the Strong setting make a draft pass a detector?

No promises. Strong rewrites more sentences for readability; it isn't tuned against any detector.

Is the naturalness score an AI detection score?

No. It counts editing habits like stock phrases and flat rhythm, and it can't tell whether a person or a model wrote a text.

Can I use HidenGPT for school?

Where your school allows AI help, yes, within its limits and disclosed if asked. Where AI is banned for a task, don't hand in its output for that task.
