AI Tweet and Thread Writer for X

The X writer in AI Ghostwriter turns an idea into a single post, a thread of 3-15 posts or five alternative posts to choose from. Every post is measured close to the way X counts: 280 characters, with links counted as 23 and emoji as 2. If a thread post runs long, it's split at a sentence boundary, and a numbered thread is renumbered to match.

Questions

How many characters can a tweet have?

A standard post on X can be up to 280 characters. The writer measures each post against that, counting links as 23 characters and emoji as 2, and flags any post that runs over.

How do I number a thread?

Leave “Number posts (1/6)” on and the numbers are added after the thread is written, with 6 characters kept free in each post for them. If a post gets split, the numbering is redone so it stays right.

What happens if a post in my thread is over 280 characters?

It's split at a sentence boundary into two or more posts, and a numbered thread is renumbered. A single post or one of the five alternatives that runs over gets one repair pass instead.

How long should a thread be?

Long enough for one idea per post. You can ask for 3 to 15 posts (6 by default), and you'll get a warning if the thread comes back more than one post off.

How should the first post of a thread start?

With the promise, result or claim, so it works on its own in the feed. The writer skips openers like “Thread:” and ends with a short wrap-up plus a question or a reason to follow.

Does it count emoji and non-Latin characters correctly?

It counts emoji and wide characters such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean as 2, close to how X does, and accented letters like é or ü as 1. Links that start with http or https always count as 23, however long they are.
